Contra Costa New Vessel Ordinance

One of the key Delta counties just passed a new ordinance. There was a lot of worry that it was going to have really onerous and probably illegal waste discharge restrictions, but it looks like those morphed into re-iterating state law. There still are some really bad definitions of liveaboards (it would encompass my boat which could be a liveaboard but is not) and leaves the difference between anchoring and mooring poorly vague. It is certainly not as bad as I feared.

Update: Looking more closely, this has been postponed for voting once more. The CoCo Times had stated it passed, but I belive the Chronicle had a clearer arctice. The link above is the current draft.
